Stitching and Fringes is the creation of Sandra Suhrie. Sandra began her love of sewing at
the age of 9 when she was in a local 4-H club. She continued her sewing education with high school classes, then on to classes
taught at local stores. When her grandchildren were born she began embroidering and learning Heirloom sewing. In
2004 and 2006 she attended the Martha Pullen Husqvarna Viking Heirloom Licensing School and in 2005
she attended the Martha Pullen Serger Licensing School in Huntsville, AL. Since then she has taught Heirloom sewing in several
fabric stores in Maryland. In June 2008, she attended the Jenny Haskins Academy and is now an accredited tutor for Jenny
Haskins from Australia. She has taught machine embroidery, Bernina Artista Software, heirloom and quilting classes
at the Fabric Chest in Glen Burnie, MD. She now teaches classes at Tomorrow's Treasures in Crofton, MD. Her passion
for sewing and teaching continues as well as her continuing education in the field of sewing. Sandra is a member of
the American Sewing Guild (ASG) and SAGA (Smocking Arts Guild of America).
